Spanish conversation practice — say the line, don’t collect phrases
A lot of Spanish study is lists: airport, hotel, menu. Lists do not become a reply when someone is waiting.
Conversation is finishing a turn in Spain Spanish (es-ES): hola, dónde, a coffee, a plan. This page is a few of those turns, then a CEFR path that keeps asking you to produce.

Why phrasebooks stall in a real exchange
You can recognise “¿Qué tal?” and still freeze on the answer. Recognition is not retrieval. A holiday list gives you words in English order. A conversation asks for a finished Spanish sentence under a small clock.
Spain Spanish also has vosotros and a tu/usted split you will actually hear. Pretending Latin American and Spain are one mix makes the first real café harder, not easier.
- You know the word and cannot get it out in time.
- You translate from English and the sentence comes out backwards.
- You wait for a perfect subjunctive and miss a simple present reply.
- You have streaks of vocabulary and almost no spoken turns.
Try a few Spain Spanish turns
Short, ordinary lines. Reveal an example if you want, then say your own version. Nothing here is scored.
01
A greeting that finishes
Someone said hola. A nod is not a turn.
TomHola.
YouHola, soy Ana. Encantada.
Greet them and give your name.
02
Where you are from
A first question after the name.
Ana¿De dónde eres?
Answer ¿De dónde eres?
03
In a café
They are waiting. One complete order is enough.
Camarero¿Qué te pongo?
Order something simple.
04
A small plan
Someone asks what you are doing later. Keep it one sentence.
Tom¿Qué haces luego?
Say a simple plan.
Nothing here is scored. In a lesson, speaking can be checked against your level.
Why conversation belongs on a path
A phrase list is easy to reread and easy to forget in a café. A path keeps putting you in the same kind of turn until you can finish it without looking down.
You do not need tourist Spanish as a separate product. You need A0–A1 production in Spain Spanish, then higher floors when the turns get longer.
How MyAnya fits
MyAnya’s Spanish path is es-ES, authored from A0 to C1. Speaking is inside the module, not a chatbot inventing the course. The first modules are greetings, origin, numbers, family, café — the same kind of turns as above.
If you already speak some Spanish, claim a higher floor in onboarding and sit the placement exam. If you are starting, A0 is the honest door.
Spain Spanish on purpose
tú, usted, and vosotros as the Spain standard — not a Latin American mix.
Conversation in the lesson
You see a line, then you say or write your own. AI can score production against the floor you are on.
Not a phrase dump
Airport and hotel lists are not a course. The course is a CEFR ladder you actually speak on.

FAQ
+Is this Spain Spanish or Latin American?
Spain (es-ES), including vosotros. Pronunciation and everyday lines follow that standard.
+Will I only get travel phrases?
No. The path is a full CEFR ladder. This page starts with café and greeting turns because that is where conversation actually begins.
+Can I practise speaking, not only tap?
Yes. Lessons include speaking prompts. This page is the same idea without scoring.
+What if I already know some Spanish?
Claim a higher CEFR floor in onboarding and take the placement exam. Do not skip production just because you can read a menu.
